I have been collecting steel combat helmets off and on now for 38 years. It all started when I received a British MkII for my 8th Birthday. As well as collecting other forms of militaria in the past, steel helmets have always been my passion, so eventually my other militaria was gradually sold off to fund my helmet collecting. I have recently narrowed my area of interest to include helmets from 1915 - 1945. I have left the Eastern Bloc/Warsaw Pact manufactured helmets and satellite countries that adopted them as well as their camo covers for reference, also a few M1 variations that I have left in my collection, most have been slowly deleted over the years.
The purpose of this site is to share with you all my hobby and maybe give some reference to those who are starting out or just interested in helmets in general, I have tried not to be too technical so have just covered the basics. I don't consider myself an advanced collector by any means so any and all comments are welcome, please don't hesitate to correct me on information that may be wrong as well. We are all still learning and think websites like this can in some way help the novice and advanced collector alike.
I would also like to thank the many collectors who have provided information and helmets to help build this site.
