Czechoslovakia Vz32/34, Luftschutz
Following the conquest of most of Europe large quantities of captured military equipment began to find its way into German use. This standard Czechoslovakian Vz32/34 helmet is an example being reissued as a Luftschutz (Air Defence) helmet.
The helmet has a makers mark “Bratri G & B Brno” which is Gottliebs & Brauchbar und Brno Bruders and dated 1936. It has the five pad liner with split leather chin strap. The original green has been overprinted with a blue black paint and a Luftschutz decal added.
The blue black colour has been worn away on the top indicating this helmet had seen a bit of service as a Luftschutz helmet.
