Spain M16

The Spanish Civil War  saw many helmets from a range of countries fighting on both Nationalist and Republican sides. This example is an Italian Adrian M16 "Lippmann" helmet serving with Franco's Nationalist forces. The exterior has been over painted but the remnants of the original grey green can be seen in the inside top under the liner. An original liner and chinstrap remain.  Many examples can be found with painted insignias and slogans to the front.
