Poland Wz67 Naval Infantry

This helmet was issued to a member of the 7th Naval Assault Division (Luzycka Dywizya Desantnowa-Morska, 7LDDM) based at Gdansk. Although named as Naval Infantry they were actually a regular Army unit and not under the command of the Navy. This Marines/Naval Infantry helmet is the same Grey colour of that of the  Navy but retains the Army Eagle stencil, also the chinstrap is not black like the Naval helmet.
An original "Moro" pattern helmet cover is present with the addition of a classification patch hand sewn on the rear of the cover for the  Motorized Rifle troops, this is non-regulation however and should be worn on the left sleeve just above the elbow. (Courtesy: P Phipps Collection)
