Belgium M15 Cont.
This example of the Belgium M15 Adrian is of French manufacture and is made in four parts as per the standard French Adrian’s of WWI. The Belgium Army received their first supplies of French made helmets in late 1915. Initial supplies had a blue finish like French ones. However this was quickly changed to khaki to match the new style khaki uniform worn by Belgian soldiers.
Unlike the French who used different badges to denote service branches, Belgium helmets are distinctive in having the Belgian Lion’s head as a badge. (Courtesy: T Anderson Collection).
