China M1

Little is known about this Chinese M1. The steel shell is or is a direct a copy of the US fixed bale WWII M1. The liner and chinstrap are made of leather, the chinstrap clasp is an M1 pattern and there is a Chinese star emblem affixed to the front. Some reference has been given to the Kuomintang or Chinese Nationalist Party that gained control of Taiwan proceeding the Chinese Civil War of 1949 having used these helmets, with this particular helmet being captured and reissued to the Chinese Peoples Army or PLA. This is speculation however and any extra information or pictures would be appreciated.
