Somalia Ssh40
A Soviet Ssh40 sand camo painted by the Somali Army. Used in the 1977-1978 war with Ethiopia, this particular helmet was taken as a war trophy by a Soviet Military Advisor with the Ethiopian Army at the Ethiopian city of Jijiga, Ogadena Desert Region in March 1978. The inscription to the rear of the helmet translates to "Victory - Jijiga - 1978".
