This MkII has exterior paint consistant with that of the Desert Campaigns of 1942-43. The liner is the 2nd pattern MkII identified by the + crown pad as opposed to the oval cushion pad riveted to the liner.
The liner is stamped  " 7  N Ltd II 1942 " which is size "7"  manufactured by "S E Norris Ltd, London" "MkII" and manufactured in "1942"
