Somalia M40
This helmet was procured from a former US Marine who obtained this helmet while on peace keeping duties in Mogadishu in 1993.
I state this is a M40 helmet as I am certain it is of North Korean manufacture, all the differences between the SSh40 and the NKPA helmets are present here, from the liner/chinstrap to the copper rivets.
The stencil to the front applied in yellow is that of an Eagle with a centred crest in front of two crossed spears with a star above and a wreath (partial) either side.
