This Naval helmet has been over painted grey and bares the insignias of the Soviet (anchor) Navy, on the rear of the helmet is the number "810" which denote service with the Soviet Naval "Kashin Mod" class missile destroyer "Smetlivy" or "Sharp Witted" in English, this destroyer is based in Sevastopol with the Black Sea Fleet. This helmet is dated 1956.
