France M53 Airborne

The M53 Paratroopers Helmet has a liner system based entirely on the US M-1C helmet of WWII. The steel shell is the same as the M51. Both the liner and shell are dated 1953. This example has a "Lizard" pattern camo cover which is actually the hood off the combat jacket, these were commonly used in the early years and were usually held in place by a section of rubber tubing to secure it firmly to the helmet.
