New Zealand M1 Medic
This M1 originates from the US, all New Zealand supplied M1's were from the US in the early 1960's. The liner is Westinghouse manufactured and dates from 1955-1962. The sweatband is dated 1974 but was however replaced by its former owner sometime in the later 1970's. This particular helmet saw service in Vietnam in the late 1960's and was issued to a Medic with either Victor 3 or Victor 4 Company, 1st Battalion, Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment.
