East Germany M56 Motorcyclist

The M56 helmet still retains the old pattern liner mounted on three metal brackets, whats new however is the sponge that has been added between the liner and shell that would be soon introduced in the M56/66 helmets. This model has the special neck fitting for use by motorcyclists, goggles are present also. This helmet has a date stamp of 1960. (Courtesy: P Thomas Collection)
