Ireland MkII

Standard British MkII helmet used by the neutral Irish Army from 1939 and remained in service until the 1960's, this helmet has been repainted and has an emblem of the "Western District Command" hand painted to the front as was common practice throughout the six zones of command.
The liner on this helmet was made by Briggs Motor Bodies, dated 1940 and a size 7. The owners name "M Kelly 209430" is present under the liner pads.
