Another example of a NZ MkII, this one has the MkII liner made by Dunlop "7 Dunlop 5/42" which denotes a size 7 and manufactured in May 1942. The chinstrap is a MkI.
The cover pictured on this helmet is the same as the previous hessian cover only dyed bottle green for use by the 3rd Division, 2nd NZ Expeditionary Force in the Pacific Theatre. The ink stampings were usually lost in the dying process, these covers are extremely rare.
